The Organising Committees of the International Symposium on Cereal Leaf Blights is delighted to have partnered with Frontiers in Plant Science to produce a special collection of papers from the Symposium.

Expected manuscripts cover the subjects of the Symposium's sessions, including:

  • Studies on genetic variation, population change, and evolution in the pathogen
  • Environmental and host factors which drive population change
  • Fungicide resistance
  • Genome-wide analysis, studies on genome structure, and transcriptomics of the pathogens or the host
  • Studies on the interactions between the pathogen and host at the cellular or molecular level
  • Identification and characterization of genes that provide resistance or susceptibility in the host and efforts to breed resistance to cereal blights
  • Studies on secondary metabolites during fungal growth, development, and infection

The Organising Committees are delighted to have the input and support of the Topic Editors, drawn from the delegates at the Symposium:

  • Kosyta Kanyuka (Rothamsted Research, United Kingdom)
  • Stephen B Goodwin (Agricultural Research Service, USDA, United States)
  • Morten Lillemo (Norwegian University of Life Sciences, Norway)
  • Andres Mäe (Estonian Crop Research Institute, Estonia)

Abstracts for consideration should be submitted by 24 July 2019, with final manuscripts submitted by 01 November 2019.
